Privacy Policy

Summary

Geonautica is a community-built Subnautica location guessing game. You may play as a guest. Creating a Geonautica account is optional and uses Google Sign-In through Supabase.

Information We Collect

• Google Sign-In information: Google account identifier, email address, and basic profile information made available through Google and Supabase.
• Geonautica account information: your chosen display name, account preferences, and account creation or update times.
• Game information: game, round, score, time, biome, and game-mode statistics when account statistics and leaderboards are enabled.
• Technical information: hosting and security providers may process standard technical request data, such as IP address, browser information, and request logs, to deliver and protect the service.

How We Use Information

• To create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
• To save your display name and game settings.
• To provide game statistics and leaderboards. Your display name, scores, times, and achievement dates may be visible publicly in leaderboards.
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Geonautica.

Service Providers and Sharing

We use Google for authentication, Supabase for authentication and account database services, and Cloudflare for website hosting, security, and game asset delivery. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services. We do not sell personal information or use Google user data for advertising.

Google User Data

Google data received through Sign-In is used only to authenticate your Geonautica account and associate it with your chosen display name, settings, and game data. Geonautica does not read your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or other Google content. We do not share Google user data except with the service providers required to operate authentication and the account service.

Storage and Retention

Your authenticated account data is stored in Supabase. Your browser may store a sign-in session in local storage so you remain signed in between visits. We retain account data while the account is active, unless deletion is requested or retention is required for security or legal reasons.

Your Choices

You can sign out from Manage Account at any time. To request access, correction, or deletion of your Geonautica account data, contact the project through the Geonautica Discord. or Directly at Email "kaleb.austin0009@gmail.com". Leaderboard records may be removed or anonymized where reasonably possible after a deletion request.

Children

Geonautica is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account or provide personal information if you are under the minimum age required to use Google services in your country.

Changes

We may update this policy when Geonautica or its data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
